This cap fits fine, and the lock is fine, but lately, Stant seems to not be making the caps with the groove to insert the tether. In the past, their caps have had the tether groove. So you will either have to remove the tether, or tuck it into the body hole for the fuel door hinge. This is pretty cheap and cheesey!

Plastic gas cap with a decent locking mechanism. Great if you have problems with people siphoning gas from your vehicle. Consider this "The Club" of fuel caps. Just wish it were a little more solid/ sturdy.

Wanted to buy an American made cap, but this Stant is a very poor reflection on USA know-how. It is just way too difficult to use and poorly made. Bought a CST cap from a competitors store made in Israel and it is a dream to use. Even the key and lock are higher quality. Exactly what I wanted. So much better than the Stant.

order two locking gas cap for suburban 1500 both 2003. works like it should but can not attach to oem ring. either take the oem ring off or take the stan apart-maybe next project. thanx
