When I originally bought my Mustang I was dismayed that there was no locking mechanism for the gas cap. Now with this locking gas cap I don't have to be worried about gas siphoning.

Works well, but Stant neglected to add a groove for the tether like the original factory cap. Hold on to it while fueling up or bye-bye.

Bought one a year ago for our Taurus and it had the groove for the cap retainer (rubber piece that tethers cap to car). Bought one for our Expedition and the current/new design does not have the groove for retainer. Returned cap and purchased one from NAPA that has the groove.
