I prefer to use refills for my wiper blades because let's face it, the insert wares out, not the arm. The advantage with these is they are cut to size as you need them. Our PT Cruiser requiers two different size refills for the windshield, a 20" and a 21". With this kit I get both sides in one package and not have to buy two pairs of different sizes and have one of each laying around until I need them. From a stores point of view, less stock to carry and less chance of being out of stock of one size. A great idea that's long overdue.

A great alternative to the typical suggestion to replace the entire wiper arm and blade when all you really need is a refill. A small problem is created, however, when you break off the unneeded portion of the metal splines; the unit tends to separate into three pieces as you try to thread it through the retaining clips of the wiper arm. A little patience here goes a long way and the result is worth it. The metal splines are easily broken off and the unneeded wiper blade can be cut with scissors – no special tools are needed. I don't know why more parts stores don't recommend this fix for a worn wiper blade rather than replacing the entire wiper blade AND arm at about 8X the price. Well done Trico!

I change wiper refills with every oil change, so I want something easy to use and cost effective. I have used only Trico for the last 4 vehicles I have owned. Before they came out with the "break-to-fit" products, I had to purchase an exact length. Now, it's not quite as critical. "Break-to-fit" is a great improvement on an already good product. Replacing the refills takes only 10 or 15 minutes per vehicle. And even if they were more expensive, the safety factor would make them still worth the cost.

Save the environment by not wasting those wiper holders every time you change the wiper! These work though you need scissors to cut the rubber and wire cutters to cut the metal. Not an easy cut even with their "precut" locations at 1" increments.

I have been using these Trico refills for years now and I love them for the most part. They fit perfect, the drivers side doesn't even need to be cut, it's the prefect size.
