Purchased these pads for my sons 07 civic ex had an extremely hard time fitting the new shoes into the caliper, I had to remove the shims on three of the four pads ( the pads are not of the same thickness.)this exposed the adhesive on the pads which smoked like heck for the first couple of uses. The pads are quiet as advertised if they last I would say they are a good buy for the low price...

one of four pads completely different size. Had to be ground and filed for proper fit. About 5 millimeters of steel had to be ground off around the pad to make a proper fit. The other three fit ok.

They are brakes. They work fine. They stopped the squealing complaint I got from my daughter about her car.

These are the cheapest pads you can buy for the Honda Civic.
I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX. The pads were so thick that they wouldn't fit on the vehicle. I ended up having to sand them down against my driveway to shave them down enough to fit.
I don't remember how the stopping power was, because I bought them a long time ago and never did again.
I was going to be nice a give them a 2 because they fit after shaving them down, but I figured I would do everyone a service and give them a 1 to lower the rating down.
I believe the Wearever Gold actually fit, but I'm not sure. I don't typically buy Wearever anymore after this incident.
If these didn't fit for my car, they will not fit on any 2001-2005 Honda Civic in any trim (DX,LX,EX,HX). They all have the same brake parts.

This warranty is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original sales receipt. In addition, you must be the original purchaser of the part and still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. Replacement parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of exchange or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is longer. The shims may not be necessary, but if the fit is so tight that you can't install the shims then it's probably too tight. I'm not sure if I got a bad set, but I ended up returning these for Wagner Ceramics.Answered on 7/8/2010 by mike pags from NY
