Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Brake Dust Shield One Piece Design:
These backing plates are AT LEAST as strong as the originals, maybe better. The ones on my 02 Suburban rusted away to nothing. These Dorman's are nice thick metal with good paint, however the one-piece design requires removal of the axles from the vehicle which also requires draining and partial disassembly of the differential. If you are doing that anyway, fine but if you wish to avoid those additional steps, buy the "split" version of these plates. They come in two pieces and fit on with very little trouble.

Yes!A:
Yes. Remove rear diff cover, slide drift pin out of the way push axle in slightly, pull c clip. Need to compress e-brake spring to remove from backing plate.A:
Yes if you don't cut the shields, but there's an easier way with out removing the axles but you have to cut the back plates in half evenly and fit them over the hub if you do it right it'll work perfectly any more questions I'll answer them as best as i can I've done this job on 2 trucks i know what I'm talking about
