2nd optima in 2 weeks, dead at start
My old optima died so I bought a new one and when I installed it it was dead and took it back and they said it was bad. The next one that I was warrantied...Read complete review

I ASK ADVANCE AUTO, FOR AN OPTIMA BATTERY FOR MY 2005 MUSTANG, THEY LOOKED IT UP ON COMPUTER, THEY SAID YOU CANT GET OPTIMA FOR 2005 MUSTANG, BUT I TOLD THEM ORDER THIS BATTERY ITS UNDER 8'' HIGH THEY SAID IT WANT FIT, BUT AFTER IT ARRIVED I PUT IT IN THE CAR, HOOD CLOSED IT WORKS & FITS PERFECT. I had to buy a bunch of adapters at the local autoparts store to make the cables reach, but it does fit nicely in my car so I'm happy. I wish the posts were closer to the edge of the battery and not centered near the middle.

As an avid off road person I go into extreme conditions in the frequently at any time during the year here in the northwest. I demand a lot out of my vehicle and have a lot of extra equipment added onto it beyond stock. Considering the added focus we demand on safety plus reliability the Optima battery has fullfilled and actually exceeded my expectations. The battery will run all night with the engine off powering the kids DVD player and a 12V heater (i didn't know they plugged in) and still started easily in the morning in sub freezing temps at the 4500 ft level in the north cascades of Washington state.
