I'm not a big fan of the spray-on protectors, but this seems to work pretty well. It can be messy, but wipes right off, of both where you tried to spray it and where you didn't want it. I tried it because I was having some issues with a battery "growing fuzz" on the connectors. Time will tell if it really helps or not.

Clean the terminal and clamp first, once you spray this on it will give the terminals a professional / factory appearance. You can wipe any excess off the battery easily with a towel. To help prevent some overspray, you may want to hold a towel or cardboard behind the area of spray, but it's not too hard to control the spray. Of course the best part, is it will protect your terminals from corrosion. A good battery that won't leak from the top is a good idea.
