How can you really rate a battery until you've had it at least 4 years? Thus, I give it 4 stars without knowing long term performance. I replaced a certain big name brand battery. While comparison shopping this battery looks very simliar to a certain big name brand battery -I'll guess came from the same factory with slightly different specs - but at the time with 15% online discount this was a better value. Look carefully at the specs - it seemed the DieHard spec was overspun (CCA) and looking at the details this battery seemed to have better specs. The counter folks at Advance didn't mind that I bought it online and were still happy to check the old battery and alternator and help with install.

A sale price caught my attention, as I was preparing to do some preventive maintance. This was a replacement battery for the original that was 6 years old. Ordered it over the internet and picked same up at the store. Had previously called before ordering to inquire if ordering by the internet also included the free installation. Response was that it did. However, when picking up the battery, I was informed that the installation did not apply to internet orders. I wasn't going to argue, as it was no big deal to install the battery. However when I got home, I found that the counter person gave me a reverse terminal battery. I tried to install it hoping there would be enough slack in the cables to do so, but there wasn't. Took this battery back to the store along with my old battery for the core charge and it was exchanged for the proper battery, with the clerk indicating that it was their error as they provided the wrong battery. Installed same very quickly, and performed as expected. Much to early to judge how well the battery will hold up and perform under age and weather conditions.
Seems to be a good purchase as of this time, two weeks after install.

The reason I bought this battery was because I could buy online, use a 30% off coupon, then go to the local store and pick it up at a decent price. I had called 2 other stores and I got the best deal here, (with the coupon).

Needed a new battery, ordered online, went to store to pick up and they installed it free.
I was in and out of Advanced Auto Parts in about 30 minutes. Battery came with 5 year warranty and was a great price. Would definitely go back to Advanced Auto parts!

Today I purchased Gold series Battery, Group Size 24F, 700 CC.
It started my vehicle perfectly after I installed it.
However, when I checked the water level, the level was about 1/8-1/4" above the plates and well below the "split rings" in all six cells. Regarding the warranty, the warranty link takes me to a generic explanation of warranty policy rather than the specific warranty for the item, and the wording on my receipt is vague:
it says - "7 YR WARRANTY (3YR FREE REPLACEMENT)"
Is the 3 year free replacement portion inclusive or exclusive of the 7 years? ie. is the total warranty period 7 years or 10?
