Bought this to replace OEM battery on '01 Hyundai Elantra (yes, that original battery actually lasted this long, driven just over 60,000 miles!--much better than the original Michelin tires they placed on it, which were horrible and quickly went). The 700 stated CCA on this battery is even higher than their Gold Battery--which I'd initially decided to spring the extra money for due to the extra warranty, until asking them about this and finding they recommended this less expensive battery due to the higher CCA. I appreciated that honesty even though it meant a lesser sale for them. Although I normally have all work done at my dealer, they wanted [$] total to have a new battery installed--and that battery only had a 1-year full replacement warranty and 4-year prorated replacement warranty compared to the 2- and 6-year warranties on this battery (3- and 7-year on the Gold). I just came back from AAP now, but it started right up after replacement, and did the same after several test shut-offs and restarts. So so far so good! I feel I got an excellent deal and an excellent price!

The description says "Maintenance Free". This battery has the removable vented caps & water will evaporate. You will have to maintain the water level. This is not a sealed battery and I don't know why they call it "Maintenance Free". I guess it means you do the maintenance & therefore it's free.

The Lake Placid Florida store is very understaffed during this time of the year. Expect long waits at the counter. One man walked out. The people behind the counter were very courteous and were working very hard to keep customers happy. They just needed more staff!

Car now starts immediately. Old battery was...old and cranked the engine so slowly it seemed the engine would never start.
Wanted a GOLD grade with a better warranty, but no other store has one either.
For this and other promotions, I've never gotten the $25 coupons to be used on my next purchase.
My reviews never seem to get published.

The battery was a tight fit within the hold-down sleeve but it did (barely) fit. The battery seems to work well and I got it at a great price.

Ordered on line and in person told the actual warranty. By that time I wanted it done and over with, so I proceeded with the transaction

It was done after much research on line, including customer comments.
I have found that generally parts from Advance are better quality.

Yes, the core charge is so that you will return a battery of comparison to remove it from the possibility of being improperly disposed of and that it may be recycled into something else.
