This filter and pan gasket was available w/o the need to place an order. The pan gasket was not needed due to my truck having a reusable pan gasket. The filter fit well and the fluid replacement was not difficult. Just be sure to get the CORRECT filter to ensure a proper fit.

One of the two gaskets fit my Jeep. It was difficult to keep it aligned while re-installing, so I used some dabs gasket maker to hold in place.

You should not need the supplied gaskets if your vehicle has the stock re-usable rubber and steel type. My trans took 4 quarts for a drain and filter replacement.

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Filter Kit:

Even though I had never changed a transmission filter before, I installed this on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. Parts fit correctly and the entire process went very smoothly for a non-mechanic. I just replaced last weekend so I can not speak to longevity, but will not hesitate to replace it with like parts according to the vehicle owners manual. I figure I saved about 50 bucks by replacing it myself. I ordered on-line then drove to the store and it was ready for pick-up. I also used the Advance transmission fluid recommended by the store personnel. Two pan gaskets were included in the box for different oil pan configurations. Overall, I was very satisfied with the part.

You have to drop the pan anyways to change the filter it really looks harder than it is you will see how one corner of your pan is kinda funnel shaped that is were you start taking your bolts lose from first so that when the pan starts to drop it will pour out all nice and clean in to a catch pan after it is dropped the filter has i think maybe 1 bolt i think and it is a T20 torks but after that replace the gasket and pan and refill...hope this can be of help

If it's a simple filter change, 5-6 qts without draining the converter. start with four. warm it up and check the level with the e-brake on and the truck in neutral.
