In the description of the product, it states "Long". Barrel is ONLY 0.825" long so in my case, it's function is purely aesthetic. Lighter probably works fine, but I'll never know. Rating is only a 4 based on part description, not part quality.

The cigarette auto lighter fit a little looser as to not be a direct OE replacement to my 2001 Chevy Impala, but still works & has an improved look in the finish.
