I was trying to use this product for a cold air intake project, but it "DOES NOT" come with two thread on rubber boots. It only comes with one! So, you have to try and find a way to connect the other end to a mount or whatever else you want to connect it to.

this part is NOT made to connect your filter to your engine. it's made for the open ended cone filters. you put it on the end of your filter and route the hose to the outside of your vehicle to bring in cool air. i suppose you COULD make it connect your filter to your engine, but it wouldn't be as effective as a smooth metal or plastic pipe.

This part Spectre Air Intake Kit Flexible Duct, Part No. 8741 manufactured by Spectre can be used for any intake opening with a 3" diameter and can be used in stock application or in conjunction with an intake system to bring cold air into the engine. it is not recommended for turbo-charged/supercharged engines. It retains position with "Memory Flex". kit includes 28" of ducting and two thread on rubber bots. use with p/n 8148 to mount onto sidewall or fender wall.
