Installation is fairly straight forward and easy to get set up.
Worked well for about a year. then stopped working and ended up over heating. Relay was fine. It was inside the unit.
Will try a different one next

The first one that I purchased lasted a little over A year, just long enough for the warranty to run out. I purchased another one figuring I just got a bad one out of the bunch, I WAS WRONG because the second one only lasted 3 month

i converted my 2002 sierra from mechanical fan to electric fans and thought i had made a break through on updating my truck. however two replacements later and i am sure i will be installing another here very shortly i dont know how but i have managed to burn yes i said burn of these modules up in smoke i have double checked for shorts and breaks and found none have also checked the draw and found it to be within an accepteble range but still i am tired of rewiring this thing in even if it is simple

This is a perfect controller for those looking to install aftermarket fans. I installed mine in 2007 and it is now 2011. It has been faithfully running both my 16" dual s-blade fans on my 1998 Ford F-150 ever since. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat if it ever went out.

You might need all/some of these things: thermostatic Fan control switch, fan control relay, wiring harnesses, two way switch(optional), wire loom(optional), 40 Amp fuses, Fan Mounting Kit (optional). Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 10mm Wrench, Grinder suitable for plastic-I used a dremel, Wire stripper/crimper, Hack Saw. Thermostatic fan control: A system thermistor checks the temperature inside the chassis, and if it detects a temperature outside of range, it spins the fans up to maximum. When the temperature drops below a threshold again, the fans are turned back off. This control method reduces power requirements during periods of low usage, but when the system is operating at capacity, the fan noise can become a problem again.
