Comments about Visteon AC Condenser:

Mounting brackets didn't line up correctly. Two bracket didn't even have holes so I had to drill them out myself. Original bolts for high and low pressure lines were not long enough. Had to purchase new bolts. Make sure you replace the o-rings too. The old ones may look like they can be reused, but don't do it! You'll be taking everyting back apart if you do. Despite all that it fixed my problem. 2002 Buick Rendezvous.

I installed this unit on an 02 Olds Silhouette 3.4l. When compared to the stock condenser every thing matches except for:

1. The top passenger side mount which comes up 1/2 an in short. This requires cutting out the slotted whole and modifiying a flat washer to catch the end of the bracket.

2. The lines on the driver's side must be tweaked as well as the manifold block in order for them to line up properly.

3. Make sure you get the metal seals with the rubber inners, does not take "o" rings like the guy at the counter says. so don't buy the universal "o" ring kit like I did and ended up going to the dealer for the corect seals.( which are 15 bucks and change )

I've had it installed now for a couple of months. No problems. When we installed it, we had a hard time finding the right o-rings to keep it from leaking. But we finally managed. Make sure you measure your o-ring thickness before assuming they are the right size.

I have used this product twice. Both times they have not fit correctly and had to grind mounting brackets and bend the lines to make it fit correctly. Both times the part worked properly, but just had problems installing. I have used GM OEM condensers and they fit without any grinding or bending, but cost more money. So the bottom line is the part is ok but you may have to make some adjustment to fit.

Not sure about the other "mechanic" note that this is junk. There's a GM Service Bulletin that's been out over 6 years that clearly explains the changes made and the necessary modification to make it fit. This part is better than the original and won't break repeatedly like the previous design.

this thing dont fit right and on the vehicle that I was working on it is a pain to get to in the first place , also upon filling with 134a it popped an o ring on the acumulator that is part of condensor.The part is nothing like the original.I am going to have to r&r this part again .I also had to modify it to fit.
