Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Trailing Arm:

Like the last reviewer said, this is miles ahead of the cheap stamped flimsy factory part. This is square tubing with welded ends. Its going to take a lot to bend it-period. The rubber bushing are not high durometer rubber but are better than factory. Grease fitting (zerks) would be nice BUT for the price you can drill & tap them in yourself if needed. Nothing bad at all to say about the part, worth every penny & then some. 2004 Impala

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Trailing Arm:

The problem with the stock rear trailing arms is that they are in the shape of a upside down U. This allows for buildup of road grime, grease, dirt, snow, and salt over time. This also means that it's not a solid piece and can be bent, warped easily, and wear out quicker over time. These new trailing arms are a solid square piece of metal and are definitely stronger than the original. They installed quickly and easily. I felt better control of my rear sway with these new bars over the old.

                      A:

A trailing-arm suspension uses two long arms on either side of the vehicle to connect the rear axle to the frame. The arms connect the front of the axle to some point on the frame ahead of it. Also Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Trailing Arm Part No. 905-501 is not an exact fit for your 2000 Lincoln Navigator. Instead please check the Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Trailing Arms - Part No. 905-305 which would be exact fit for your vehicle. A:

A trailing arm is part of an automobile's suspension. It is normally located forward of the rear axle and connects the axle to the car chassis. It is a relatively large piece of the suspension that supports the coil springs.
