I have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS. I know nothing about car maintenance, however, when a friend recommended Lucas Transmission Fix I was surprised that all my car needed was this bottle of liquid. My mechanic said I needed to replace the entire transmission for over $1,000. The bands kept slipping and shifted gears really hard. Now the gears shift so smoothly that I don't even feel it. I recommend trying this treatment before spending over $1,000 to replace or rebuild any transmissions.

I used Lucas Transmission Fix in my 1995 nissan pathfinder it is used to stops slipping , hesitation and rough shifting in worn transmissions. It completely eliminates most seal leaks and lowers operating temperatures in hard-working units it seem to make a different for me after using it.The Transmission is shifting better then before i used it but not a complete fix but better than before the best way to get it out of the bottle, is to mix it with new Transmission fluid and then put it in your Transmission or it will take a long time to get it out of the bottle as thick as it is.

I added this to my transmission and drove at least 300 miles since I added it and have seen no difference at all and there is nothing wrong mechnically with my transmission since I have had it checked out but it still has same rough areas in shifting points. I have used a Lucas product that worked for me recently but not this one, this is just my experience.

I have to say. This stuff is unbelievable but true. I put it in a 93 Toronado my son bought as a fixer upper. The tranny would slip so bad when he would kick it down it was like it poped out of gear. The tranny fluid went from red to brown in less than a dozen test runs. I didnt have a lot of hope for it but I sucked out a gallon with my Lincoln Mity Vac evacuator and added a some fresh atf and the Lucas. That was 4 months and 6000 miles ago. Fluid remained brown since I didnt Flush the tranny or change filter but it works great. My son is 20 and drives like it. Tranny acts like it was rebuilt.

I've been working on an old 4500 backhoe and after getting it going with new fluids in the transmission, I began to notice that I was getting a drip from some sort of seal in the transmission.
After talking to a few people, they said to put something in to swell the seals. I had used another product in the past so I tried this one. Not sure that it completely worked in making the transmission shift better or work better but I do believe it has stopped the leaking seal which will save me lots of time and money. Hopefully it will even help the proformance of the way it shifts in the long run.
Make sure that you don't try to use this stuff on a cold day. It is some very thick oil so try to warm it up a little bit before you plan on using it. For the small amount this costs, it is worth at least giving it a try before spending money.

The local transmittion shop said my #98 ford contour has morning sickness and will cost $1300.00 to drop the trans and rebuild...My transmittion would slip when cold....as my car is only a 4 cylinder...i put in half [12 oz]and cut it with a little new fluid to get it down...after 3-4 days and about 40 miles ..no inprovement...zero...so i added the other half and it took another 3-4 days and 40-50 miles to see improvement...it's been about 3 weeks now ..so far so good...no slipping...tip becarefull not to over fill your trans...local oil change shops should have an electric pump..for easy removal if over filled ...

Product is thick like molasses, so it takes a very long time for it to flow from the bottle, to the funnel, through the tube from the bottom of the funnel and into the transmission fluid spout. Something like this can only work a certain amount of magic to a tranny worn from low levels of fluid, but it helps.

So glad it stopped my tranny from shuddering and jetking. Worked immediately. Added when I replaced filter and changed fluids.
