Comments about Design Engineering Titanium Wrap:

I ordered this product on-line.I ordered 2 rolls, assuming it would be enough to do the Headers. I called Summit to order a high performance clutch and asked about the wrap. He said that 2 rolls would not even be close. I wound up buying the Header wrap kit from Summit. I now have to return your wrap.Nowhere in the ad does it list the coverage for the wrap.

Comments about Design Engineering Titanium Wrap:

Installed on 2007 FXSTC. Removed factory heat shields and took less than a hour to install wrap. Very easy to use, secured with stainless ties, reinstalled factory shields and fired it up. The wrap smoked for about 20 minutes and then I ran the bike on the highway for some extra heat, was 33 deg when installed. Came back to yard let it idle another 20 mins, there was no more smoke just a slight odor. Could feel the difference in the amount of heat coming from the engine and the exhaust had a deeper tone.

Comments about Design Engineering Titanium Wrap:

Wrapped the exhaust on my '97 F650 and have noted a decrease in temperature on my right leg. Not sure if I noticed an increase in HP but riding in +100 temperatures in Texas this product makes the commute a little more bearable. It also looks good too.

will wrapping j pipes from head to muffler on 72 vw beetle reduce heat in engine compartment

                A:

With reference to your inquiry on Design Engineering Titanium Wrap - Part No. 010129 the exhaust wrapping results in two significant benefits: (a) reduces the amount of radiant heat damage to other vehicle components and lowers under hood temperatures and (b) exhaust insulation will maintain hotter exhaust gases. Hotter exhaust gases have a decreased density; this allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster. An increased exhaust scavenging effect is produced in some cases this can also lower intake temperatures and increase horsepower. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
