          These dust boots goes into the spindle of the ball joint. They keep the grease for the ball jont and dust out.

        i have proplem with my 97 ford econoline van 350 v8 the steering stop workin while my front left tire was stuck in a hole as i wAS turning it while it was n a bind it stop workin.i do'nt think its d power steering pump,nothing leakin,or sound.
