Comments about Performance Tools Strap Filter Wrench:
The one I purchased's shaft was kind of skewed so it made it hard to get a wrench on it. Also you need a 1/2" socket wrench to drive this most easily. I had to use a regular 3/4" wrench to drive it along with a crescent wrench. Is kind of aukward, so if your oil filter is in a difficult spot it wont be easy.

Comments about Performance Tools Strap Filter Wrench:
Had an oil filter stuck in 2004 Corolla, so I tried five different tools all in all. This one was one of those that didn't do the job. The Corolla filter is inside the engine compartment (accessible from underneath the car), and isn't sticking out, so there is no room to use any forcep or basic strap type of wrench. While this wrapped around the filter rather nicely, it didn't do much to get it off, only bent the filter canister slightly. To add, none of the wrench-driven plastic cup type tools were useful either--they just kept on slipping. The filter came rather easily with a two part spring-held cup type of wrench, a.k.a. "import car filter wrench".

I've had this tool 10 years. It has never failed to remove any oil filter. It may crush them but will still remove them!! It works.

Comments about Performance Tools Strap Filter Wrench:
Works great! I even use it around the house to loosen stubborn plumbing pipes that won't come loose. It does have a tendency to crush the oil filter if you over tighten it, but it never slips off and I can use it on any size filter. It will not rip and is easy to store.
