        A:

        Speed sensor is located at the rear end in the middle. Or slide back a bit further and look at the rear differential. I do believe your speedo and ABS and ECM input all come from the RABS sensor you saw in the top of the rear differential. Slide back a bit further and look at the rear differential.

        This is the vss, its on top of the rear end. Look right above where your drive shaft connects to the rear axle.

      I have a 96 ford ranger 2wd 2.3L. speedometer quit working. O.D light is flashing. transmission is not shifting properly. I replaced this sensor on top of the diff and it did not fix the problems. Any suggestions?

        Unfortunately, with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.

      I have AN f250 FORD ECONOLINE VAN V6,and it accselorates really high at start ups ,only!After it idels really nice,in park,or while on the highway.Now, I'm running it on all pure synthetic oil,even lucas oil stabalizer,so it won't hurt it while start-ups.I already put an air control valve,cost $105.00,and it's still doing the same thing.

        Possibly the TPS. Unfortunately we are unable to diagnose what is wrong with your vehicle without being able to be there with your vehicle. We highly recommend taking your vehicle to a reputable shop to have them take a look at it to determine the cause.
