I've been using product for about 3 years now. The clay I think is a little harder than the Mother's clay bar kit. I tend to clay each of my cars in the shade so the clay lube or (quick detailer) that Meguiar's supplies you with doesn't dry out. I recommend claying your vehicle every 4-6 months. You'll be surprised how much dirt and small containments will be removed once clayed. Those 2 clay bars provided will last about 2-4 cars depending on how much dirt and small contaminates are embedded into the paint. The clay lube bottle that comes with this kit will last about 1 car. I would recommend keeping on hand an extra microfiber towel or 2 when claying once the one provided in this kit is soaked with clay lube. Claying your car will help make the wax last longer (2-4 weeks), apply on smoother, and make your cars paint pop little. If for some reason you drop the clay on the ground. Do not use it, simply throw it away. You don't want the dirt on the ground that could possible stuck onto the clay applied to your car because will scratch the heck out of it. This is a great product and will make a huge difference when detailing your car.

Although I love Meguiars products, this clay kit is mediocre. Maybe It may be the climate, but the clay seemed to keep sticking to the paint. I used plenty of spray, but It still kept sticking. The clay does work though. I may try another brand.

I would highly recommend this kit. It worked very well on the light scratches of my motorcycle tank. The clay bar really helped clean everything completely allowing for a smooth application of wax.

Works great I washed the car and left it wet. Then put soapy water on each section and used the clay bar. This method works just the same as the spray lubricant that come with the kit.

I've wanted to get serious about my car's appearance for a while, and this was a great way to start. Checked the reviews and went with Meguiar's clay kit and am very happy with the results. To be sure I did everything right, I watched the instructional videos on Meguiar's site, then set to work. Make sure your car is as clean as possible to start with, and don't go light on the spray. I used probably 2/3 of the bottle on my 2-dr coupe. It's remarkable how much the clay pulls off, and how amazingly smooth it makes your finish. I was able to do my entire car in about an hour. It's definitely worth the time and money investment, and clears the way to getting a smooth waxing.

The Meguiar's Clay Kit worked good. The Clay was more firm than other brands I've tried in the past (TurtleWax Ice was fantastic, but no longer available). Very easy to use; spray some lube and gently wipe the area with the Clay Bar. Removes hidden contaminants, stubborn road debris and bug droppings leaving a smooth-as-glass finish. Start to finish in approx 90 minutes.
After apply a decent paste wax and your good to go. Clay at least once a year. I do it two times; once in the Spring and again in the Fall followed by waxing each time.

Never used clay before, so here... used rubbing compound for hours with a buffer wheel. used bug and tar remover on bottom half of car. Was tired but decided to try the clay bar. (actually hoped it wouldn't do anything, so I could be done.) Started on hood and after all that work it felt like I was going over sandpaper. Flipped bar over...all sorts of spots. Did all 4 cars. It got stuff off the finish a buffer wheel didn't get. Will never wax or refinish ext without claying first. Great product.
