Comments about K-Source Rearview Mirror Mounting Kit:
The double sided foam mounting tape failed in one hour. The way to go, on mounting, is to reclean the glass, and the mount, with laquer thinner, then apply epoxy, which have done in the past. Bought the kit, because I did not have the mounting wedge, so, decided to try it.

Comments about K-Source Rearview Mirror Mounting Kit:
Like the other review, cleaned glass and wiped clean with rubbing alcohol. Mirror held for 10 days. Disappointed at adhesive performance.

Comments about K-Source Rearview Mirror Mounting Kit:
Have had varied results with cheap adhesives for re-affixing rear view mirrors. Some times years, sometimes days. The K-Source MK200 came with new plate and uses 3M adhesive tape VHB©. I applied it to cleaned windsheild (alcohol and dried), and applied pressure for 24 hours. Then I attached mirror and it held less than 8 hours. I'll go back to cheap adhesives.

Q:
DO YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE PREVIOUS SHAPE PART ABOVE FOR IT TO STICK ON PROPERLY, AND HOW DO YOU GET IT OUT?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It is a basic mounting plate with double sided foam tape on the mounting side. I would recommend a glue for a firm grip(the self adhesive foam can be removed in that case).Q:
Does the kit include the proper glue or adhesive?1 answer
