Remains to be seen how well the plastic T will hold up under engine heat.

The anti drain back valve was absolute JUNK! Its the part that connects your hose to the T fitting. Spraying leaks all over the engine compartment and now I have to change the plug wires since i have a miss now on that side of the motor from it getting soaked in the few seconds the water was on. Even with the connector disconnected from the T fitting it sprayed out the side holes of it and was complete garbage and you cant use the kit without it. And since i had cut my hose and inserted the T fitting i couldn't return the kit without buying a new heater hose. So i went to the hardware store and got a female to female garden hose adapter that cost $5 which was more then this kit, and everything worked fine using it instead of the junk connector.

Comments about Peak Radiator Flush and Fill Kit:

Easy to install. Having a flush port helps keep older cars cooling systems clean, makes 'em last longer and cool better. Remember to mix coolant with distilled water, not tap water, to avoid risking contamination by minerals.

Comments about Peak Radiator Flush and Fill Kit:

This product will save a lot of time for future flushes. The connector provided to connect the hose to the heater hose "T" connection is a little flmsy and care must be used or the connector will bend, twist and break. Other tan that the kit is a good addition to any car coolant system.

This product was complete junk. I bought it to flush the coolant in my '93 K1500. The deflector did not fit into my radiator and the hose attachment stripped the first time I attached it to the hose. Most of this kit is cheap plastic and does not hold up well. You don't want to get halfway through a coolant flush and have this thing break like it did for me.

                              A:

It could be number of things: Check if overheating is at idle, it could be a water pump impeller problem - try bleeding the cooling system. Check for any collapsed radiator hoses, plugged up catalytic converter, and clogged cooling tubes in the radiator, Check for a broken head gasket (if any), Check for white cloudy exhaust, (coolant leak to cylinders) and yellow gunk around the oil cap (coolant leak to oil). After fixing all leaks, always repeat the pressure test to make sure there are no more leaks, and always test to make the overheat problem has been solved. It is possible that there's an additional circulation or heat transfer problem. If there's no leak, an overheat is caused by a problem with coolant level, coolant circulation, or heat transfer. Fill the coolant level and see if the problem recurs within a month, then it is something other than low level of coolant. Circulation problems are caused by clogged radiators, bad water pumps, non-functioning thermostats. Clogged radiators can often be detected visually and bad water pumps can be detected by feeling for play in the shaft, and manually turning and feeling for resistance, also remember to check for the effectiveness of the water pump belt. Heat transfer problems are caused by insufficient air flow to the radiator - check fan, shroud, bugs/debris on radiator or an air conditioner heat exchanger in front of it. They can also be caused by oxidation/deposits inside the engine, which usually causes hot spots that are difficult to detect. Serious overheating in heavy traffic but not in open driving is an indication to investigate the fan, fan clutch or motor or relay, or shroud.

1988 ford bronco with no heater core (florida truck). Radiator and overflow water is horrific condition. What is the best way to flush the radiator?
