I followed the directions exactly. (Metal connector to glass) The auto parts guy told me to try doing the repair in the evening when the windshield is cool. The first time I followed the direction which advise to put "one drop of glue". Waited 30 minutes to dry (it said only 15). The mirror fell off within 24 hours. Then I tried it again, using a bit more glue. It stayed put until I tried to adjust the mirror. Then plunked right off. I tried a THIRD time and used the rest of the glue in the pacakge- really got it good and wet, almost worried it would drip and screw up the dash, so used a towel on the dashboard just in case. I left if overnight to cure and the mirror has held up a week, but not convinced it will hold through the year with adjustments. (two drivers use this and adjust often)

Followed the instructions to the "T". Got every particle off of the back of the button until it was smooth and clean. Cleaned the windshield as well. Affixed the button as per the instructions. I even allowed the button to dry overnight.
Next morning tried to slide the mirror onto the button and "plop". It fell right off!!! So I've got the other reviewers beat for the least time it stayed on.
What a waste!!! Regular super glue lasts longer.

Despite the negative reviews on here, I purchased the product after watching a YouTube video that used it. As long as you follow the directions on the package, the product works great. You have to make sure you 1) remove all old adhesive from your window, 2) separate the metal "button" from the back of the mirror, 3) clean the window and button with the cleaner provided, and 4) use only one drop of the adhesive (more is NOT better). I did all this after watching the video and my mirror is holding fine.

There's nothing good about a glue that doesn't harden! I tried it twice, it failed twice. First time, stayed on about a month. This last time, about two weeks. I followed the instructions to the letter both times. The problem is, the glue never hardens completelty! The firs time, it actually ran down the windshield because it was so gooey, even several days later. This time, the mirror fell off when I tried to gently adjust it. Again, glue not hard like it's supposed to be. They need to completetly re-examine the chemistry of the glue or something. Don't waste your money and time!

Tried this product twice. Followed instructions to the letter both times, except second time I allowed longer than recommended for adhesive to set before attaching mirror to button. First time mirror fell off the next day. Second time it stayed put for about three days. I thought it may have been old stock I was sold the first time so tried again but with the same result. Total waste of money. Avoid.

                                            A:

Insert a small enough standard screwdriver into the rectangular slot in the bottom of the mounting bracket. Inserting it straight back, simultaneously push with the screwdriver against the piece of metal that it will touch and press against the metal tab in the opposite direction (the one it needs to go in to come out of the bracket) until it comes off.
