Remove the main/connecting rod/ camshaft bearing cap, place a piece of this Sealed Power Plastigage - part# SPGR-1 on the respective journal, replace the bearing cap and torque to specification, remove the bearing cap and compare the flattened out piece of plastigage to the enclosed gage to determine the oil clearance between the journal and bearing.
