I bought this to remove the pitman arm on my 1999 jeep wrangler. It was cheap, so I guess I got what i paid for. It moved my pitman arm, MAYBE a 1/4 inch before snapping and becoming completely useless. This was the first time using the tool, right out of the package. Not sure if it will work for your job, but it didn't do the job for mine.

Works great when used correctly. Others have said it breaks, But when used as designed, smaller ball joints IE: Honda, Toyota, it works great

Comments about Autocraft Pitman Arm Puller:
I could of got a free use of this tool at Advanced Auto Parts, but for the price I added to my tool chest. Needed to replace steering dampner on 99 Jeep Wrangler and it did the trick. For the price this is a good quality tool and will work great on tie rod ends and other applications.

Comments about Autocraft Pitman Arm Puller:
Works well to separate joints without hammering.
However, be careful to center the pin on the top center of the bolt. If it is off center, you may damage threads on ball joint or tie rod end and be unable to reassemble to old parts. If you are replacing all, then it won't matter.

Bolt threading is horribly misaligned, compromising functionality. Disappointing purchase.

Comments about Autocraft Pitman Arm Puller:
I had bought another inexpensive puller from anoth chain. It was so poor quality that it did not fit. I was reluctant to purchase another inexpensive puller but this one was much better built. I feel as if I good moe than I paid for.

Comments about Autocraft Pitman Arm Puller:
Used this puller on alot of vehicles before it broke. 3/4 ton truck steering boxes, cars and such. What got it was the Jeep. it was a rusted pitman Arm that had not been moved in 23 years. Needless to say, a Chinese product that sells for [$] isnt going to stack up to a professional caliber HD Pitman arm puller. I say you get what you pay for, and if you need a puller on a tight budget, This will work fine on most applications. DRF

I would Pay more money for a product like this made in the USA. There is no reason why we cant make this item. Its just easier for corporate america to look outside the US than re inventing the manufacturing base which made this country great.

Q:
Does this break as quickly as Autozone's puller. It is an OEM brand, I have broken 2, both with greased threads and little torque.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The arm must be really stuck on there if you have broken two of these already. I would suggest getting some lubricant or penetrating oil and spraying down where the pitman arm is stuck and letting it soak. Try doing this a few times to see if things will free up some and then try breaking it loose again.Q:
I own this puller. It is to small! It will not fit over the pitman arm on my 77 f150. Do you offer a larger one? Maybe in the rent a tool program?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
For the rent a tool program; I recommend visiting your local Advance Auto Parts store to see what they have to offer in your area.Q:
Is this a tool used to remove bolt from ball joint.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This pushes the pitman arm out of the drag link/center link.Q:
Why is there not a pitman arm listed for this vehicle?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
