  It's 15w 40 so it's made for Diesel engines BUT it can be run in gas engines. We used to run 15w 40 in 350 Chevrolet 5.7L V8 gas engines that were in the forklifts at a heavy industry mill I worked at. 15w 40 is a heavy duty oil with additives for wear, soot, and turbocharged type engines for both gas and diesel.
