Sea Foam
Use Shell/BP in my car so I haven't noticed any difference in 5000 mi. maybe if I used lower quality gas it would make a difference.

Comments about Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (16 fl. oz.):
I use this to clean carbon from intake and valve by dripping into a central vacuum port with the engine running at 1500-2000 rpm. I use a special service tool for this.

Used in both of my 2002 Honda's with nearly immediate results. Noticed after first tank (one I added product to) of gas that my gas mileage increased in both vehicles. I track this with every fillup and went from 30 to 34 mpg on the civic and 20 to 23 on the Odyssey. On week 4 since last application and MPG is holding steady. I did not change where I purchased my fuel nor the Octane I used in either vehicle. I will be running this every month in both vehicles.

This stuff works like a charm every time!
Comments about Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines (16 fl. oz.):
I've usually put this in the gas to clean injectors and rid the gas of any water, but I put half a can in the oil before an oil change and felt that it loosened up some of the junk, making the new oil stay cleaner longer.

This product appeared to work but you need to use a large volume of product to treat one tank of gas. Lucas oil lasts longer with a similar price

Have a ford 500 with 215000 mi was on a trip to florida and the engine light came on. Not knowing what to do I stopped at advanced auto he checked it with his handheld comp and said it was erratic idle. Then he told me about Sea Foam we put in a can and the light went out 2 days later and the car runs great with better fuel mileage.

I frequently use this product in both gas tank and engine. It actually improves your gas mileage when added to the tank and does an excellent job of internally cleaning/lubricating your engine when added to the oil.

Q:
can u add seafoam to ur engine oil2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No, the Sea Foam Motor Treatment for Gas and Diesel Engines should not be added to engine oil. Add 1 oz. Sea Foam Motor Treatment per gallon of gasoline. You can mix up to 2 oz. per gallon of gasoline if necessary. Mixing at less than two-thirds oz. per gallon will impair the effectiveness of Sea Foam.Q:

I just did an oil change on My Jeep. So at this time I'm not going to put any in my crankcase. I'll put some in the gas tank. Is it still ok to use in PVC valve?2 answers
A:
I asume you meant to clean your PCV valve. I suppose it wouldn't hurt but I would think a gd ol' carb. cleaner would do a better job cheaper.CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, you can either use it in PCV valve or the brake booster vacuum line. Using the PCV valve pour about 1/3 of the can in. If you use the vacuum line, pour 1/3 of the can into a container and then use the vacuum line to suck it out of the cup.Q:

I am buying a 97 Ford Taurus LE 3.0 Liter vehicle that has been sitting for about a year with the same fuel, maybe started every two weeks or so. What is the best way to use sea foam to get this vehicle running clean? Please email back.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
After warming up your engine. Keep the engine running at a high idle and locate either the PCV valve or the brake booster vacuum line. Choose which one you'd like to use and disconnect it. Using the PCV valve pour about 1/3 of the can in. If you use the vacuum line, pour 1/3 of the can into a container and then use the vacuum line to suck it out of the cup. If the engine stalls before you get it in, try sucking the fluid in slower. You may want to cover part of the line with a finger. When you have 1/3 of the can in the car turn off the engine. Pour 1/3 can of Seafoam into your fuel tank. Pour 1/3 can of Seafoam into your oil via the crankcase. Wait about 5-15 minutes. Start the engine back up. You may need to give it a little gas to keep it from stalling. Expect to see a fair amount of smoke, so you'll want good ventilation. Idle your car for a few minutes and then take it for a drive. Expect to change your oil in the next few hundred miles. Seafoam is not for long term use in the oil.Q:

okjust wann clean my exhaust system where do i ut this? i also dont wanna flush my trans but need to clean it untill i get some money what do i do? im so confused2 answers
A:
If your exhaust is "dirty" chances are your burning oil or have excessive carbon output due too an over rich fuel mixture. Fix those problems & the exhaust should clean up on it's own, unless the converter has been compromised. You can't "clean" a trans without a flush & you should change the filter too as well as drain the torqconverter. If you have a shop flush it with a machine make sure they change the filter too. Most don't & say it isn't needed, but when you change the eng. oil & don't change the filter you pump the dirt right back in not to mention a restricted flow that could cause slow shifting or even slipage. If your trans has a lot of miles on it, 60 to 70 thousand miles, I wouldn't reckomend changing the fluild at all. It may just go out completely. If you are experiancing minor slipage or slightly erractic shifting drain about a qt of fluid and add Trans X.In the least it's a "kill or cure" shot, but worth the risk.CUSTOMER CARE
