Comments about Bars Leak Jack Oil with Stop Leaks:
This stuff is great; I needed to use my uncle's old floor jack to do my first self-done oil change but his jack was barely raising with every pump, wasn't raising very high at its highest and could hardly lift my Crown Victoria at all. I did some research and found out that the floor jack was likely low on jack-specific oil so I went looking for jack oil on the Advance Auto website and found this stuff for a bargain [$].I popped the fill plug out, poured in enough that it was it just under the fill hole(I used a little too much at first, I should've used about 3/8 of the bottle but used half), put it back together, raised and lowered the jack with no load a few times to get the air out, and then it worked great, the jack was again able to be fully raised and it felt very steady and powerful holding up my 4,000 lb full-size sedan to get the jackstands under the frame.

Comments about Bars Leak Jack Oil with Stop Leaks:
I purchased this yesterday to revive an inexpensive Pro-Lift jack #2392. The jack did not leak, but it would only lift a few inches. The jack manual said one could remove the cover plate and access the fill plug.
I added some of this oil (not much), pumped to remove any trapped air, and replaced the rubber plug. I tried the jack and it didn't seem to make much difference. I only could raise the saddle to 9-10" and the jack wouldn't raise my car enough to change a tire. I came back a few hours later and tried it again. The saddle went to 14"! I tried to raise my minivan and it worked! Plenty of height to change the tire.
