Comments about Lucas Oil Products Heavy-Duty Oil Stabilizer 1 Gallon:
I have a '96 Honda Accord with over 150k. I first bought the product due to a recommendation from my uncle who is a mechanic. He suggested I use it because I have a minor leak. I have been using the product for a while now because I noticed smoother performance in the engine, extended life of my oil, and the leak had lessened. I use the product in my car, motorcycle, and lawn equipment. The stabilizer has done wonders. The earlier you use it, the longer everything lasts and remains like new. I highly suggest this product for anyone who has an older vehicle or someone who does a lot of stop and go driving. I would imagine that this would go a long ways for construction vehicles or any fleet vehicle.

Comments about Lucas Oil Products Heavy-Duty Oil Stabilizer 1 Gallon:
I've used Lucas products for years. The heavy duty stabilizer really helps to keep the oil "slick". A word of advice: Set the bottle in a really warm place before pouring it's contents into your engine. It helps the oil to pour out so much easier and faster, especially during cold weather.

I am going to be driving from Tampa FL to Los Angeles CA this summer. I drive a 02 Mazda protege lx with 120K miles. I have been using conventional oil up till now. For this very long driver a friend advised me to start using a full synthetic such as Castrol edge or Mobil 1 ) and adding Lucas oil stabilizer to it as well. Would this be a good idea, or should I stick to just switching over to synthetic OR should I use conventional motor oil and add Lucas to it?1 answer

How to use this product? I am not very handy and if this product just involves emptying it in the car's gas chamber then I can do it. If it involves putting in the oil chamber or something it would be hard.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It is recommended that you add the Oil Stabilizer with every oil change (20% Stabilizer, 80% Oil). You may also use the stabilizer to top off between oil changes in order to help reduce oil consumption in an older engine, or maintain peak performance in a new engine. Put in a quart each time you change the oil in your car. You should be able to go at least 50% longer between oil changes and your engine will last much longer. In addition to being great for your engine, you can also mix it 25% / 75% in the transmission and 50% / 50% in the differential. Lucas Oil Stabilizer blends with any petroleum-based or synthetic oil, and is formulated for gasoline or diesel engines.Q:

Lucas Oil Stabilizer will not help stop a leaking head gasket.Q:
will lucas oil help stop engen noise2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
A pure petroleum multi-use oil supplement. Controls noise, heat and wear in manual transmissions and differentials. Number one in the heavy duty and high performance industries.A:
Yes,as it is thicker than normal oil. Also coats all moving parts with that heavy film.I have also found it is also helpful in softening seals so they don't leak as much. It's not a fix-all nor does it add really any performance but it can help a tired engine run awhile longer if you take care of it.
