I was surprised with how well it worked. It may take some elbow grease but it works. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong, I skipped the first application of the rubbing compound because of the severity of oxidation on the lenses, the compound would not have made much of a difference. Make sure you USE THE GLOVES when applying the sealer, it is almost like paint and will also need time to dry. It is a little messy from the buffing pads. It's not perfect but it gets the job done surprisingly well. The entire process only took less than an hour.

Read the directions! They say just use the pads if the cream doesnt get all the yellow junk off. The cream helped but it didnt get it all. It says to use the pads next with another cleaner.I used the #1, #2, #3 and #4 pads on one light and it is now a little scratched up looking. I just used the #3 and #4 on the other light and it looks fine. For [$]I think the Turtlewax headlight kit works fine just DO NOT use the #1 and #2 pads, but the #3 and #4 are ok.Another plus is you do not have to use a drill for the pads, just a little elbo-grease!!!

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
I bought this for my Corolla 2003. I didn't have to use sand paper, only applied the wax inside the box and it worked like magic. No need to spend money on new set of headlights.

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
The kit is easy to understand how to use and apply it...
but the pads provided do NOTHING. I went through the kit 4 times on one headlight and I couldn't see any difference from when I started. I even took before and after photos and I could not tell. This kit might be better for smaller jobs but doing an entire headlight is not for this kit. I went with the 3m kit and that worked perfect on the first try. I would not recommend unless you want to do some by-hand detailing or have some really oddly shaped headlamps that canno't be restored with a kit that uses a powerdrill attatchment.
Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
I used this kit for my 2003 G35, and for those who own this particular model, know how ugly the headlamps can get. I was amazed on the outcome, just by using the compound cream. I did not have to use the fine grit sanders to take the yellow oxidation. I have used Mothers Headlamp Restoration kit that was about $28, and I must say I was not as nearly impressed as with the tutlewax restorer kit.

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
I purchased a car with brown frosted headlight lens, they looked terrible. I researched the different products for refinishing headlights and decided to try the Turtle Wax brand resurface kit. This was a great decision as it worked very well and only took about 20 minutes to redo both front lens. Very satisfied.

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
I am very pleased with the results of this product on my 99 Camry.
The headlight lens covers were very yellow, but are crystal clear after using this product. This is the first time in 14 years that the headlight lens covers have been restored.
Took about 30 minutes per lens cover.
My lens covers were very heavliy oxidized and yellow. So, I needed to use both the clarifier and sanding pads. If there is very light oxidation, you will probably only need to use the clarifier. The clarifier is great stuff, but requires elbow grease.
On my first lens, I followed the instructions. I used about 3 applications of the clarifier first, but it still needed a little help from the sanding pads. I followed the instructions on how to use the sanding pads. Then, I needed about 3 additional applications of the clarifier, mainly because I had scratched the lens by using too
much pressure on the #1 and #2 sanding pads.
On the second lens, I sanded first using the technique described in the next paragraph below, then applied the clarifier. Only needed 3
applications of the clarifier on the second lens after sanding first. The pads quickly and easily removed the thick layer of oxidation. The clarifier will to, but it takes more time and elbow grease.
Word of caution when using sanding pads. The #1 pad (most coarse) will scratch the lens if applying too much pressure. I learned this on the first lens. Smoothed it out with a few extra minutes using the #3 and #4 pads, and extra applications of the clarifier. I recommend very light pressure on the #1 and #2 pads. Just enough to remove the yellow oxidaiton. It doesn't take much. Also, have a bucket of water around so you can clean the pads and wet them often, since this is wet sanding. You can tell that the oxidation is being removed by the pads, because the water on the lens is turning yellow and the lens is becoming clearer. On the fine pads, #3 and #4, a little more pressure can be applied to buff out the light scratches from the coarse #1 and #2 pads. I did follow the instructions about which pad to start out with, which directions to rub, horizontal or vertical, and for the amount of time each pad should be used.
After completing the steps of sanding and using the clarifier, I thoroughly cleaned and dried the lens covers. Then applied the included sealant.
You can see the results in the pictures.

Comments about Turtlewax Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:
Fantastic product! My car is 10 years old and I could not see through the lenses anywhere. I did spend more than 5 minutes each lens going through all the steps to restore them but they look brand spanking new now. When I look out the door and see the car it's as though someone else's car is sitting in the drive.
