It worked great for about a month then the spring popped off and the closure came off the hinge. I had to put it together multiple times. The closure needs to have the pivot point not be a snap on, it should go all the way through to hold the door in place. Meaning it pops off and leaves the closure open so that you get vapor leakage!! Just buy another gas cap like the 1st cap until they improve the stability of the hinge.

Gas pumps automatically stop with this product. You have to pull the nozzle of the pump out about 80% for it to work, and I'm sure that's not safe.

Nice idea, but terrible execution. Modern gas pumps with vapor recovery won't work with this cap. Only buy this product if you live in a tiny town with old gas pumps that don't have the snorkel-like plastic thing on the tip of the nozzle.

i forgot to put my gas cap back on after refueling and i left it on my trunk and drove off after notice it was missing so i return to the gas satation only to fine that it been ran over by another car so i purchase this gas cap so i wont have to forget to have to put back on gas cap again its work great!!!!
