i have security lugs nuts on all fours rims ( Gorilla acorn style lug nuts ) my key to remove them split in half and after numerous trys hammering in a regular socket in there failed...i bought this set and with a little muscle i managed to remove the lug nut....works great i really recommend it won't disappoint

I attempted to use this to remove some stripped out lug nuts. The item would attach correctly but it was only 3/8" drive and I needed a 1/2" drive in order to turn it and pull off the stripped lugnuts. Would be ideal for smaller nuts and bolts that are rounded off.

For everyone who has struggled with stubborn and stripped nuts and bolts, this is the answer to your prayers! I was removing my H-pipe from my '98 Mustang GT when I came across this stubborn nut that was in a difficult place to reach. I had no luck with blaster PB, and stripped the nut using a deep socket. I heard about the Irwin bolt grip sockets, and bought the original set, only to find that the size I wanted was in the expansion set. This is my only complaint, that this product is sold in two sets. Still, I reccomend purchasing both sets because it is WELL WORTH THE PRICE! The socket held on tight to the STRIPPED nut and finally got it loose! And the socket still looks brand new, no damage at all, and I used my legs to provide the force! Both sets come with a wide range of sizes, perfect for any job that is unneccesarily difficult.
