Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:

I need to exchange for another one. My old sender was busted during an engine swap, so I bought this as a replacement. It has been reading as overheating, but I had it checked with an IR temp-gun and when the gauge reads 240, the actual is 183; I have a 180 stat. Hopefully this is an isolated defective unit and a swap will take care of it. It goes to 260 on hot days after climbing hills, so I assume it's only going to 203 when that happens. At least I hope!

Mine is for an 89 Camaro 5.7L.

Comments about BWD Coolant Temperature Sensor:

Simple installation; locate and remove old and replace with new. I bought the Coolant Temperature Sensor by BWD because I was receiving a higher than normal guage reading and was using a parts replacement procedure to acertain and correct the potential problem. I did see a reduced guage reading, but can not point to the temperature sensor alone because I also replace the thermostat; so it could have been a combination of both products.
