Transmission *COOLER* flush.

About Me Amateur Mechanic

Pros

  • Can Can Be Used For Air
  • Cleans Xmission Cooler
  • Easy Spray Can Use
  • Good Instructions

Cons

  • Is Only For The Cooler

Best Uses

  • Preventantive Maintenance

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Flush and Filter Kit:

I bought it thinking it was a transmission flush. Turns out it only flushes the transmission cooler. I used it anyway, as heat is the top killer for transmissions and I want it the cooler to cool well. You turn the can upside down to blow compressed air through the cooler to flush the cleaner out.

Easy to use, comes with about 3 inches of oil line so you can connect it straight to the cooler and spray.

Not sure if I would recommend. I accidentally bought it but have no regrets.

I used this product when was replacing my trasmission that had failed. This product did a good job at flushing contaminents from the system, although after I used this prduct still flushed the lines and cooler with about 2 gallons of fresh trans fluid.

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Flush and Filter Kit:

I use these flush kits to clean out my transmission coolers after torque converter failures. When doing transmission overhauls on a budget, radiator replacement is sometimes out of the question. These kits solve that problem for a fair price. I was absolutely astounded at the amount of contamination I removed from the coolers & lines. An inline filter w/ clamps is included, making this cheap insurance against recurring transmission problems.

Comments about Pro-King Automatic Transmission Flush and Filter Kit:

The kit contians a can of spray cleaner and a basic inline metal canister type filter. This is not what you use to flush and change your tranny fluid and filter unless you want to rebuild it very soon.

you need to drain the pan (if it has a drain bolt) or pull all bolts except 2 on one side of the pan and let it drain from the edge of the pan opposite the bolts. remove the pan, the filter will be the next thing you see.
