Comments about Interdynamics Auto HVAC Duct Cleaner (4 oz.):
I'm sure that previous owner of my '05 corolla never did something for odor.
I changed cabin air filter & spray whole one can.
Still there is some odor but reduced much. There was some scent from the spray but it have gone off in 2~3 days.

Comments about Interdynamics Auto HVAC Duct Cleaner (4 oz.):
I used the item as described in the directions and it left behind the original odor, as well as the new scent.
The product is also sticky and can leak from vents into electronics behind the dashboard.
I would not recommend using it in a car that you like.

A:
General Instructions: 1. Remove the vent covering the air duct if it is detachable. Review the owner's manual for instructions on removing the vent cover. Some cars require a screwdriver to remove the air vent covers. 2. Clean both sides of the air duct vent with cotton swabs saturated with auto interior protectant. Switch to a new side of the swab each time one end gets covered with dust and grime. Clean vent covers that are not removable as best you can using the swabs and protectant. 3. Cut the hook off the top of a wire hanger with a pair of tin snips. Flatten out the remaining wire into a long, straight piece. 4. Twist one end of the wire coat hanger around the corner of a microfiber cloth. Crimp the bent wire onto the cloth with a pair of pliers until it is secure. Wrap the length of the microfiber cloth tightly around the end of the wire. 5. Slide the cloth-covered end of the wire into the air duct and twist as you pull it back out. Twist the towel on the wire in the opposite direction to expose a clean side when it gets dirty. Spray some multi-surface cleaner or auto interior protectant on the microfiber cloth and reinsert it after the majority of the dust has been removed. 6. Slide the narrow tipped end of the vacuum hose down the air duct to suck out any leaves or other pieces of large debris. Work slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the lining of the air duct or the vacuum hose attachment. Replace the air duct vent cover and vacuum out all the dust or debris that was removed from the duct and landed in the car's interior.
