It is operating quite well, however, the unit was falsely advertised as a direct replacement for the stock unit, albeit of a much greater output. It was anything but a drop-in swap. I was forced to cut/grind both mounting brackets to make the unit fit. For less than half the price of this unit, I could have purchased an alternator for a Grand Cherokee and cut the brackets. I was, however, attempting to avoid messing with the brackets, so I put out the additional dollars. On top of that, the electrical connection is TOTALLY different than the stock set-up and required even more time/expense. Now that the brackets are modified, I will save the added expense, should this unit fail, and purchase the aforementioned Grand Cherokee alternator.
