Q:
Could this method be used on a 2011+ car or truck to bypass the fan settings in the PCM?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Thermostatic fan control: A system thermistor checks the temperature inside the chassis, and if it detects a temperature outside of range, it spins the fans up to maximum. When the temperature drops below a threshold again, the fans are turned back off. This control method reduces power requirements during periods of low usage, but when the system is operating at capacity, the fan noise can become a problem again. For more information, please feel free to call 1-877-238-2623 and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.Q:
Is there a powersave function on this model? (ie. will it terminate the circuit when the temp drops 10 degrees lower than the user set temp?)1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No, I am sorry. The Imperial Adjustable Thermostatic Fan Control (Part No. 226203) does not have an unique power saver function. However it is an economy model with the On/Off Degree between 32 degrees - 248 degrees.Q:
How many electric fans will this control? I have 2 12" fans that I need to control.2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, this should work fine for your application.A:
This is designed to supply a 12v power supply once the circuit is made via the thermostat which is positioned at the radiator. What you do with the 12v supply is up to you. You can run multiple fans, lights or what ever as long as you don't over load the circuit. Two 12v 12" fans should be fine as they generally don't pull more than 5 to 7 amps each max.Q:
I have a '95 Grand Am I have replaced the thermostat, heater core, temperature switch, and coolant temperature sensor and my temperature gauge still doesn't move. But it moves when the car is moving slowly or sitting in one spot but its running, but as soon i get on the highway its goes back to the where it was; Why is this happening?1 answer
A:
Sounds like your T-stat is stuck open to me.Q:
My Radiator fan works with the A/C but not without the A/C on. What would cause this? So far I have replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap, ALL the hoses and the relay. Will this product work on my vehicle and could it be the problem?1 answer
