I have used the golf cart, these batteries are in, every day of the 2+ weeks since I installed them. I use the cart when feeding and doing other chores around the farm. These batteries are a great value and hold their charge well under use. A bonus was finding them on sale at AdvanceAutoParts.com which saved me about 25% over what I would have paid at a local golf cart shop.

these battery's were perfect for the lift unit, but because there battery's were quite heavy, could have used a strap for better handling

Comments about Autocraft Golf Cart 6-Volt Golf Cart/EV Deep-Cycle Service Battery 190AH/156AH:
I've started playing with solar panels last year after hurricane Irene missed us and decided I needed to do something in the event of losing power for whatever reason. I purchased 2 of these batteries and hooked them up into series. Then purchased 2 more this year because of the great performance I've gotten out from the first set. You can't beat the value for what these batteries provide.
FYI - I have pretty much all the lights(LED) in my house running off these batteries and also some receptacles I've installed to charge power tools, cells phones, and other small items.

2 are a great replacement for the standard 12 volt RV battery for trailers. @ of these batteries last me 6 days vs. 2 days with a normal 12 volt RV battery. They are a bit heavy but they do preform well.

I have 6 volt batteries in my golf cart. I have been told that I should recharge my batteries after a day of uses even though the batteries show minimal discharge. Others tell me that I should let the batteries discharge to at least half before charging. What is the correct charging method for deep cycle golf cart batteries?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Good golf cart battery charging practices can lead to a longer lifespan. Charging deep cycle batteries needs to be done after every use for optimal care of your batteries. Even if you only use it for 10 minutes or 9 holes. Be sure to check the water level of your batteries frequently (more often in the summer). The hotter the temperature, the quicker the set of batteries will discharge. The older the batteries, the more frequently you need to check your water levels. Older batteries use more water. Dry batteries are the number one cause of premature failure. If the batteries are new or fairly new use distilled water rather than tap water. Water should be added after charging (unless the water is below the level of the plates). If you fill the batteries before you charge them, you risk overfilling. During the charging process the electrolyte level will rise and may bubble out of the cap. Batteries need to be kept clean and dry to prevent self discharge. Dirty batteries can cause a trickle of small current that can slowly discharge your batteries. When it comes time to replace your batteries, replace all of them. Do not mix new and used batteries. When you are pulling the battery charger plug from your golf cart, be sure to pull on the actual plug, not the cord. If you repeatedly pull from the cord, you can damage the wires inside the plug and pull them loose. If this happens your charge won't work. After a few years, batteries take a longer time to charge and don't hold a charge as long as the new batteries. The older they get, the more apt to check the water levels.
