I used to use another brand of motor oil in my cars and trucks, but I always had so much trouble with sludge buildup. I had a mechanic at a repair garage tell me to use Advance Auto motor oil and I should never have that problem again.
I have been using Advance Auto brand motor oil for about 15 years now, and I have never had any problems with sludge build-up since.
I do realize there are a lot of other brands of motor oil, that are just as good, (if you compare the same type) but Advance Auto oil saves me a lot of money and as I said, "It is a great motor oil and I feel safe using it in my vehicles.

I am the son of a professional diesel mechanic and was brought up to understand that you normally get what you pay for but that there are exceptions like, motor oils.
Many companies out there make motor oils and they all claim that theirs is best because of this or that and they make those claims so you'll buy their premium products.
What most people don't think about is that products like motor oil all have to meet the exact same criteria in order to be sold for use in certain applications. Since all engine oils have to meet the same criteria then it surely doesn't make sense to me to pay twice for the same product and that is why I choose the AAP motor oils over the more expensive oils.
Let's face it, for half the money I get the exact same protection in my vehicles that the other guys promise at twice the price.
I have been using the store brand of oil for a very long time in four vehicles and not a one of them has ever had any oil related issues...ever!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have used this oil in my previous 2 vehicles (Saturn and Honda) with no problems at all. I have a Nissan now and have no doubt that this is a quality oil and will be my oil of choice until the car dies of old age. Don't get hung up on name brands, change regularly, and just use it.
