Weak design for larger snap rings
Bought the product to remove a large snap ring. Broke one attachment and bent another before grinding down an old pair of pliers and using them to get the job done.

I didn't heed the warnings and thought but surely these would work for the job I was doing, how could something made of metal be THAT poor? Pretty poor apparently. Even at [$] they weren't worth that if they don't work at all. Abandon hope, all ye who purchase.

comes apart while in use , not strong enough to hold together with medium to large snap rings. Its a now a junk tool at the bottom of my tool box

competitive price for a tool that has some versitility that is good for occasional use. Not built for daily or heavy duty usage.

944 thermostat repair will not be serviced by this tool. Bent in use. Ran out to buy a real tool

I like that this c-clip/snap ring plier set was very inexpensive and comes with multiple attachments, but the first time I needed to use it to remove a snap ring from an axle/hub, I found it just couldn't spread the ring enough - had to assist the removal with a screw driver.
Other than that, I'm keeping it and it did actually help with my repair.

i put these on a small snap ring and the tips broke off with out any more force that would take to crimple up a pice of paper. these are the worst "tools" i have ever bought. DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a snap ring plier smaller than 3/8"? I am trying to remove the snap ring from a PRHT latch on a Mazda Miata, and the smallest 3/8" setting on my plier is just a hair to big to fit into the grooves.Asked on 10/25/2010 by KitKat from Tampa, FL1 answer
