I don't do a lot of work on my car so I didn't want to spend much on a jack and jack stands. Based on other reviews I was worried that this wouldn't lift my Jeep Liberty, but the jack had no problem. (Needed to change front brake pads and rotors)

The jack has a very limited range for height, and overstated its weight capacity.
Min Height: Low riding sports cars may not fit the minimum height. Measure your sports car's jack points to make sure fits. Lifting a stock S2000 didn't work because the car was too low.
Max Height: The max height was too low to lift my van high enough to stick a 11" jack stand under. A van or SUV may need a max height of 16-18" depending on the jack point to effectively place some jack stands.
Max Weight: The stated capacity is 4000lbs. The front end of a 4500lbs Honda Odyssey is about 2500lbs. When attempting this lift, I can put my entire body weight (160lbs) on the handle and it will not lift. I don't know if it would have worked if I were heavier, but this makes me feel like the jack simply wasn't designed to lift more than 2000lbs. Lifting a Mazda3 worked, although it still required quite a bit of elbow grease.
If your car is over 3000lbs, this jack will be difficult to impossible to use. Be sure the check the min/max height to fit your vehicle.
There are low profile jacks out there better suited for sports cars. Heavy duty jacks usually have higher max heights for vans and SUVs. Many heavy duty jacks are rated for only 4-6000 lbs, but are vastly easier to use than this 4000lbs jack.

Versatile jack for tight places and low profile vehicles. Unit can handle same payload as larger heavier jacks. The jack stands are a bonus...one can never have too many jack stands.

I got this to work on my sons 98 Honda Accord and it worked great. I see some of the comments here are negative because of the lack of height on the jack. I would have to agree if you're working on anything with some height to it like a pickup this is not the jack for you. For a standard car this jack worked great and I have no complaints.

Comments about Torin 2-Ton Trolley Jack with 2-Ton Jack Stands Combination:
This is a good jack bundle. The only down side is the jack itself. Now it is a good jack but it is very very small. For 2 tons, which is enough to hold a good size truck, the jack's range is short. For stock height trucks will want to look at a 3 ton or higher. But since I have lower vehicles, this will work fine and I'll just upgrade the jack. As for the stands, they are built great, but the location of the locking notches can be in the wrong spot as well for a taller vehicle. This was more my fault than anything, a jack stand that can handle 2 tons each I just felt they should have been taller. This is still a great deal just be aware of height, droop, and travel of the suspension.

Save yourself ten dollars and don't bother with the combo, the jack is garbage and broke on the first use, spilling hyrdrolic fluid all over.

Bought to jack up my GMC Sonoma to change out the front brake pads, and to rotate tires. Works great with the stands, would not leave just the jack under, its a bit on the small size. Perfect for small jobs and occasional maintanence.
