This is defenitely a small portable jack. I thought with the picture, it would be a floor jack. It is not. Do not try and lift a pick up truck with this jack. It will tip over if not properly steadied. It is good for a quick tire change in the garage. I wish I would have invested $8 more dollars and got the floor jack.

Comments about Torin 2-1/4 Ton Hydraulic Trolley Jack:

This jack works well for my 2011 Camry; however, it would work best for compact/sub-compact cars. The length of the pump stroke is just right and the construction of the product is fair for the price.

Comments about Torin 2-1/4 Ton Hydraulic Trolley Jack:

I find this jack easy to use but the relief valve requires SUPER tightening to keep the jack up under a load. If you just hand tighten the valve, the jack will slip back down under load. Once the valve is really tightened down, it keeps a load elevated.

Torin does make some good jacks compared to other manufacturers in the market. When lowering my X3 the movement is steady while under load. I have had other Jacks that drop the vehicle rapidly- and you will not get that from this Jack. For the cost/value ratio this Jack will definitely last you many years.

On the hydraulic cylinder you will see a rubber plug in the fluid filler hole. With the trolley jack in horizontal position on the floor, remove the rubber plug by pressing it in on the side with a screwdriver. Fill in hydraulic fluid (type:HLP 32 Iso or equivalent) through the fluid filler hole. You must fill in enough fluid to cover the cylinder visible inside.
