Comments about Advance Auto Parts 10W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (1 qt.):
I used to use another brand of motor oil in my cars and trucks, but I always had so much trouble with sludge buildup. I had a mechanic at a repair garage tell me to use Advance Auto motor oil and I should never have that problem again.
I have been using Advance Auto brand motor oil for about 15 years now, and I have never had any problems with sludge build-up since.
I do realize there are a lot of other brands of motor oil, that are just as good, (if you compare the same type) but Advance Auto oil saves me a lot of money and as I said, "It is a great motor oil and I feel safe using it in my vehicles.

Comments about Advance Auto Parts 10W-30 Conventional Motor Oil (1 qt.):
Advance Auto Parts brand oil is good for certain applications. I use it on my vintage motorcycles (pre 1984). Those engines were designed before "advanced" oil solvents and most pure synthetics were made. Advance Auto Parts brand oil claims to remove sludge, buildup, etc- but it actually contains a low amount of solvents. It's cheaper because its skimped on the amount of additives, but in my application additives are not desired. Win, win.
Note- I would not use this oil in todays daily drivers, which are designed to accept and thrive on high amounts of additives.
