I like to do my own oil changes and I really like this product. I enjoy the low profile of the pan which makes it very easy to get under the vehicle and catch the drainage. The pan is not bulky, so it doesn't get in the way while working. I really like the catch screen which keeps the bolt from falling in the oil and you having to dig around for it. I like that the pan is large enough to do at least two car oil changes. The pan is easy enough to manuver, cap off, and take to an automotive shop to recycle the oil with out making a mess. I highly suggest this product to anyone who does limited oil changes at home.

Please Rhino read your reviews! The cap will break and leak oil all over the floor of your garage. I'm still trying to clean up the mess. Except for this absolutely fatal flaw it would be great product.

This product serves its intended purpose to catch fluids drained from your vehicle but neither lid seals tight enough to prevent dripping.

The large catch opening with built-in grate works well. The grate catches your drain plug if you drop it and provides a convenient place to rest your old oil filter while it drains.

Once the container is full I found the drain cap to leak so I replaced it with the cap from a windshield wiper fluid bottle. The lid for the catch container will also leak during transport as the fluids slosh about. What I've resorted to is transporting the drain pan in a cardboard box to prevent oil from getting all over the place.

*Although I checked "Yes, I would recommend this to a friend" it would come with the caveat to expect it to leak.

i would use this to change oil in parking lot of store worked well for a couple times but the cap is soo thin and breaks. its difficult to rig a new cap to keep hot oil from leaking, dont flip it over either cause it will leak out top

This oil change collection pan has many benefits. The oil collection hole has a large hole screen grate that keeps you from dropping the cars oil pan plug into the oil. The screen is also very useful in draining the used oil filter.

The unit seals nicely at both locations without the need for over-tightening. The drain spout design allows for a more complete draining.

The cap(s) leak

There are lots of quick fixes for sealing the caps (different cap, glue, etc.) and they help, but just be prepared and don't be surprised when you find oil leaking from this drain pan.
