I am a female with little knowledge of automobile engines. I also have a fear of electricity, like most people. I watched the on-line video and when the charger arrived I was able to connect it and start the charging without any help from anyone. The shipment was on time, the packing was very well done, and the item was exactly as described on the on-line website of Advanced Auto Parts.com. I would highly recomment this battery charger to anyone, whether they are a less informed casual driver or an automobile mechanic. The 3 charges, trickle, 12 amp and "jump start" are all one would need in a battery charger. I am very please with my purchase.

I bought this 75 amp charger and when I got home there was only a 50 amp charger in the box. I already had it connected and it works but what a ripoff.

As this part Schumacher 1/12/75 Amp Automatic Battery Charger/Maintainer, Part No. SE-1275A manufactured by Schumacher is Automatic and when switched to automatic mode it can be left for an extended time without damaging the battery as, An Automatic charger automatically switches between Charge Mode and Maintain Mode as necessary. The FULL CHARGE (green) LED will cycle on when the battery is at full charge and off when the voltage drops below a preset level and the charger goes into Charge Mode. This cycle will continue, and the FULL CHARGE (green) LED will stay on for longer periods of time as the battery becomes more fully charged. This is not applicable to manual chargers.
