Q:my pedal goes almost to the floor , i hear air releasing when i hit the brake is it my booster?
A:Hi Maypo, techy question! The brake booster could possibly the problem. However, I would suggest that you to take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
Q:My 99 Ranger 4x4, 4.0, has severe brake fade. During normal driving speeds pedal pressure is very good but when I am alomost to a complete stop I loose pedal pressure. If I press harder the brake almost lock up, But I get stopped :o). Hoses look good. Does the booster need replaced? How do you check if it is operating correctly. Almost everything else has been replaced during a complete brake job within 5,000 miles
A:It sounds more like the master cylinder. That is what was happening to my car and my master cylinder ended up being bad.
