Comments about Cardone Select Master Cylinder - New:

I have used Cardone brake products in the past with good success. Design and construction matches the original equipment manufacturer's product. However, for the Honda Civic application, the reservoir clamp was installed in a position where it blocked the required wrench swing space for tightening the flare nuts on a brake line connection. After loosening the compression clamp and turning it to the appropriate position, I noticed the entire reservoir should be turned to align the wires from the cover to the correct position. But, I had primed the piston with brake fluid already and did not want to chance a leak from the reservoir so I left the wires become slightly twisted out of position. Do check this out before starting installation and adjust if needed.

Comments about Cardone Select Master Cylinder - New:

This BMC was a straight replacement. The oring on my old one had been leaking and the edal was spongey and sank to the floor at lights. Popped the old one off, got the new one on in no time flat. Bled the brakes and I was good to go. Brake pedal is solid now, been driving on it for a couple weeks and I have no complaints. I would deffinitly reccomend this to a friend. It was a direct replacement for the stock unit that was very old and tired, even came with a new cap the plugged in to the old connectors for the fluid sensor.
