Comments about Wearever Master Cylinder Master Cylinder - Remanufactured:

Don't buy this! The brake cylinder came in a box with no name on it. When asked, the Advance Auto tech indicated that it might be a Fenko rebuild and Cardone either owns or bought Fenko.

The master cylinder body looked really beat up. The two nuts on top were stripped and screw driver gouges were all over where the reservoir connects to the cylinder.

The instructions are poor and the bleeder kit is not usable. The kit includes 4 plastic bleeder plugs and 2 pieces of tubing. The tread on 2 of the plugs does not fit that of the cylinder ports. If you try to use it, you'll not be able to bleed the cylinder and have massive fluid loss. In addition, the tubing is not long enough to properly reach the inside of the reservoir. As a result you'll have to bleed each of the 4 lines at the cylinder, opening them and catching the fluid as it squirts out and before it drips on anything.

The rebuilt does not include the reservoir. Be aware that your old reservoir will most likely be encrusted with heavy contamination that will be hard to remove.

Unfortunately I was committed and had to use what I had. But please, do yourself a favor and buy a new master cylinder. The rebuilt is not worth the money!

Comments about Wearever Master Cylinder Master Cylinder - Remanufactured:

Received Master Cylinder with incorrect bleeder kit. Part provided with 2 line port bleeder kit when part is designed with 4 line port. This made it impossible to bench bleed cylinder prior to installing on the vehicle! Beware! Check contents of bleeder kit included in this item before leaving the store!!!! If it is inappropriate to the part, demand the proper bleeder kit!!!
