      I'm happy to help, Schatzee! It's possible that you may have better luck by also replacing the guide pins with Wearever Caliper Guide Pin-Bolt Kit (Part No. H5002). Dorman - Help Brake Caliper Bolts - Oversized -4-1/8 In. And 4-3/8 In. (Part No. 13897) or Dorman - Help Oversized Brake Caliper Bolts- Rwd Front- 4-1/8In. (Part No. 13891) could also provided a solution for your 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu.

      For additional diagnostic assistance, I suggest consulting with a certified mechanic.
